PANTHERS TRAVEL TO BOB JONES ON MONDAY
NIGHT!
The Big Red
machine travels to Bob Jones HS on Monday night to take on the Patriots.
The games start at 4:30 PM with the JV teams.

PANTHERS SOAR PAST THE EAGLES!
The Lady
Panthers came out a little slow in the first quarter, but put that
behind them in the next 3 quarters outscoring the Lady Eagles and
getting the win 48-33. The scoring was led by
Mary Ruth Bush
with 12 pts. and
Alaina Strong
with 11 pts. and 13 rebounds.
The Panther Boys led by
Zack Miller
with 16 pts. grabbed the win from the Eagles of Columbia 68-55.
Zack Jones
added 13 pts., 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals.
Will Powell
also added 13 pts., and
Ray Hobbs
had 12 pts.
PANTHER
TEAMS SPLIT GAMES AT AREA HAZEL GREEN!
The Lady
Panthers played with more intensity as they faced the Lady Trojans
in an important area match up on Tuesday night. At the end of the
first half the Lady Panthers had a one point lead (27-26). In the
second half the game stayed close, but the Lady Panthers was able to
grab a win on the road by beating the Lady Trojans 52-51. The Lady Panther scoring was led by
Alaina Strong
with 22 pts. and
Ambehr Morrow
with 9 pts.
The Panther Boys needed a win
tonight against the Trojans to keep a home court advantage for the
playoffs, but the Trojans wanted no part of it as they led the Panthers
at the half 36-28. In the second half the Panthers got within 5
points a few times, but could never get the lead and lose to their area
rival Trojans 68-73.
Will Powell
led the scoring with 20 pts. followed by
Zack Jones
who added 16 pts. and
Azaria Green
with 15 pts.

Tournament Champs!

PANTHER BOYS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
The
Panther boys played in the championship game of the Smokey Mountain
Classic in Gatlinburg, TN. against Lovett HS (GA). The Panthers took
control of the game early and held the lead for the entire game.
Lovett got within 5 pts. in the 3rd quarter, but the Panthers picked it
back up and put them away for good winning 71-48.
Ray Hobbs
led the scoring with 16 pts. and 6 rebounds.
Will Powell
added 15 pts. followed by
Azaria Green
who had 14 pts. and
Zack Jones
who had 11 pts. GO BIG RED!!!!
LADY PANTHERS ARE GADSDEN CITY TOURNEY CHAMPS !
The Lady
Panthers played their final game in the Gadsden City tournament on
Saturday and beat Etowah by the score of 46-38 to take 1st place.
Alaina Strong led
the scoring with 21 pts, followed by
Ambehr Morrow with 8 pts., and
Ta'Naisha Hill with 7 pts. The Lady Panthers next game is on
Tuesday night at Columbia HS at 5:30.

WILLIAM POWELL - MVP IN BOYS ALL
STAR GAME!
Huntsville Panther
William Powell was named MVP
in the annual All-Star
Sports Week competition played at the Alabama State Unviersity Acadome.
"Powell was 6-of-9 from the field with six rebounds and scored a key
bucket in overtime to put the North ahead 75-72 with 39 seconds left to
seal the win". Congrats Will!
