EDDIE GROVES NAMED HEAD
BOYS' BASKETBALL COACH
Coach Groves was born and raised in
Decatur, AL. He played
basketball at Decatur High School and graduated in 1998. Coach
Groves then attended and graduated from Auburn University where he
began his coaching career as the varsity boys' assistant coach at
Notasulga High School. After graduating from Auburn, Coach Groves
recieved his Master's Degree from the University of West Alabama and
coached at Brookhaven Middle School in Decatur. Groves came to
Huntsville as an assistant coach in 2008. In May of
2010, he was named as the head boys' varsity basketball coach. Coach
Groves married his wife, Rachel, in 2006. They have two daughters,
Olivia and Isabella. The Groves' family loves Panther Basketball!

GERALD FRANKS NAMED HEAD
GIRLS' BASKETBALL COACH!
On Wednesday, May 19
Huntsville High School (HHS) announced the hiring of former JV Boys
coach Gerald Franks as the new Head Girls' Basketball Coach of the Lady
Panthers. Coach Franks came to Huntsville High in 2006 after a very
successful coaching career at Huntsville Middle School (HMS) where he
led both the Boys' and Girls' programs. In 2002-2003, Coach Franks led
the Girls' Basketball team at HMS to its First ever City Championship
and followed that in 2003-04 with a Second consecutive City
Championship! Coach Franks is excited about the challenge of leading
the Lady Panthers at HHS. |
